Bottle Tree Park

Bottle Tree Park is a 7-hectare privately owned park. It is located conveniently near Khatib MRT (10 mins walk). Entrance to the park is along Yishan Avenue 2. If you are driving, go along Sembawang Road and turn to Lorong Chencharu. The park opens from 8am to midnight.

Bottle Tree Park has a Kampong theme, it is like a small farm located within a park. Here, you will find hares, puppy, small caged animals , vegetable plantation, fruit trees.

Two small playgrounds with slides and swings located in the middle of two sand pits. Those who want to have a go at fishing can either try out their fishing or prawing ponds. (kids' pole fishing costs $14.50 an hour, inclusive of rod rental and bait).

There is also a small pond located next to a seafood restaurant. Children can try out Longkang fishing or drain fishing at a cost. At a fee of $10 per child, the child will be given a small plastic fish tank, a small net to try out their skill at netting fish.

Although it is specifically written that no adults are allowed to fish in the children pond and a maximum of 5 fish are allowed to be catch and brought away, we saw many parents joining their kids in the ponds and hauling up 20 or 30 fishes resulting in overcrowding in the small fish tank.
In our opinion, we really think it's animal cruelty to certain extent and really wish that the rules can be enforced more firmly by the operator

One can also take a stroll around the park to view the 30 types of fruit tress and the four varieties of bottle trees imported from Australia. There is a weekend flea market and monthly.

If you feel hungry, you can dine at the seafood restaurant but we find the prices pretty steep.
