Singapore Flyer

Singapore Flyer is the world's largest observation wheel. Standing at a stunning 165m from the ground, the Flyer is the only place that offers you breathtaking, panoramic views of the Marina Bay, and our magnificant cityscape.

We signed up for the family package which is SGD$150.00 for 2 adults and 2 children. This package entitles us to once a day ride on the Singapore flyer within a one year period. We consider this to be the best deal as one trip would easily cost close to SGD$100.00 without the package.

Each round will take about 30 minutes and you could even book a private capsule for special occasions.

We tried both the day ride and night ride and prefer the day ride more. In the day, one could see a lot more things. For night ride, the air-con causes water condensation on the capsule windows and could be hard to see outside in certain angles. Reflections of lights on the capsule windows also make it hard on the eyes to see the night views clearly.

There are also many shops and restaurants at the Singapore flyer and so far, we had only tried Popeye Chicken which we felt was below average.

There is a wonderful Yakult  Rainforest Discovery occupying the entire central atrium of the main Terminal Building.  This man made rainforest provides a respite for weary city dwellers with lush vegetation, cascading water displays, stream and waterfall, children are sure to enjoy it.
