Visit Singapore Farms

Singapore Farms are mostly located at the Lim Chu Kang area which is the far western side of Singapore. It is a treat for Singaporean kids now a day to visit these farm as most of them have grown up in this concrete jungle and never really had any chance to see or touch a real animal. These are some Singapore farms that are especially popular with children.

Goat Farm :
Hay Dairies - Hay Dairies is a popular goat farm located at Lim Chu Kang. It is a family run business producing goat's milk to supply to the local market. It is open to visitors, milking demonstrations are held in the morning from 9.00am - 11.00am. You can also buy a packet of hay to feed the goats. Guided tour will be provided for bigger groups.

Jurong Frog Farm
Jurong Frog farm is the only local commericial breeder of Bull frogs. Here, you can find :
- holding pans for frogs
- breeding ponds for tadpoles & small frogs
- mating pond
- look, listen, feel & feed-the-frogs packages
- sales of frog proultry and other seafood.

We find the farm quite poorly kept compared to some others we visited, but the kids still enjoyed their visit very much.

Crocodile Farm
Singapore Crocodile Farm located at Upper Serangoon Road is the only crocodile farm in Singapore. They breed crocodile for their skin and mat. 
You can find reptiles skin products and crocodile meat here if you wish to purchase any of them. Guided tour can be conducted upon request. Admission is free.

Fish Farm
Qian Hu is another Singapore farm that is Located at Lim Chu Kang. It is a major exporter of tropical freshwater aquarium fishes in Singapore. The fish farm is open to visitors everyday.

Coral Farm is a one of the leading marine exporters in Singapore specializing in marine fishes, marine invertebrates, corals and "live"rocks. Here, you will find many beautiful coral fishes, sharks, stingrays etc.. The prices are pretty expensive but it's fun just to watch these beautiful fishes even you don't plan to buy any.

Hausmann Marketing Aquarium

This is the place to be at if you want your kids to try out 'Longkang' ('drain') fishing. Pay $2.00 for 30 mins of 'net fishing' and catch as many longkang fish as you like. You will have to release the fishes back at the end of the fun.
