Bumboat cruises depart from several quays including clarke quay, Robertson quay and Boat quay, as well as Raffles Landing, Merlion Park and the Esplanade Jetty. Boat tour by bumboat is by far the most preferable way to see the city by many. It is a short 30 mins ride, but pack in quite a comprehensive view of the city's architectural variety.
At night, red Chinese lanterns are hung around the bumboat providing a very romantic atmosphere.
