Cruise to Singapore
Being an island surrounded by sea, most people would think visiting Singapore by cruise would be an obvious mode of getting into Singapore. Not quite!
There are only limited options discussed below, one the luxurious way that comes with a higher price tag and other a much cheaper way but it's only possible if you are coming from one of the Indonesian islands. Let's take a look below :
Luxurious Cruise to Singapore
There aren't many choices if you want to cruise to Singapore. People who go for cruises are more going for a cruise experience rather than 'the' way to get to Singapore.
A well known cruise brand in Singapore is the Star Cruise . Star Cruise offers the experience of the new sights and sounds onboard of a luxurious ship and enjoy a multitude of gourmet cuisine, world-class entertainment and great relaxing options that appeal to a whole range of holidaymakers be it families, honeymooners, senior citizens and even incentives and business groups.

Currently, Star cruise offers limited port of embarkation ie Singapore and Hong Kong. If you are a traveller from Hong Kong, this would be a very exciting option if you want to spend some fun time on board with your family before touching down in Singapore for the rest of your holiday.
Star cruise operates tours to many destinations in the Southeast Asian countries. They include Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, India and Cambodia. The main embarkation port to these countries is Singapore.
An example tour would be a 4D/3N package from Singapore to Bangkok then to Ko Samui and finally back to final destination of Singapore. Visitors coming from Bangkok or Ko Samui can catch the transit cruise to Singapore. Check website for more information.
Ferry cruise to Singaore
For visitors coming from certain Indonesian islands like Bintan, Batam, Tanjung Batu, Tanjung Balai and Tanjung Pinang, they can take a ferry to Singapore which is by far the most common and popular way. There are three ferry teminals in Singapore : Habourfront, Tanah Merah and Pasir Panjang. Ferry fares range from S$20 - S$40 per adult (one way) depending on which Indonesian terminals you are embarking.
