Family Friendly Restaurant in Singapore
Looking for a good family friendly restaurant in Singapore can sometimes be a challenge. Ever since our younger boy Yang turns terrible two, its been always a challenging experience to find a good restaurant to accomodate him. Thankfully, we found a few in Singapore which have their setting done to specifically cater for young children.
Of course, a good child friendly restaurant would come with more than just the basic high chair. Unfortunately, many of the restaurants in Singapore don't give much thought when selecting the type of high chair for the kids. Some high chairs come without safety belts or loose unadjustable safety belt. Some with too big a leg room that an active boy can easily climb up or slide through the big holes through the leg space. We find the Ikea white high chair so far the best in keeping Yang in place.
A good restaurant we would recommend is Globetrotters located at #02-02 at United Square (Tel : 63565285). It is a travel-themed restaurant with activities for kids, including an indoor play area for younger ones right by the tables. Babysitter available in the indoor playroom too. You can finish up your meal for chat in peace while watching the kids play. Prices are very reasonable too with main course starting from $16.90++ . Menu include both Western and Asian food. Reservation is recommended as they are usally full house on the weekends.
Another favourite restaurant of ours is the Ikea Restaurant at Tampines. They too have a play area to keep the kids occupied while the adults dine. We often put our older boy at the ball house and put Yang at the play area in the cafetaria, that would give us a brief moment of peace while we eat.
