Singapore Changi Airport
Singapore Changi Airport has been regularly voted as one of the World's best airport. Not only it is very efficient when comes to organising flights and passangers related details, it is also very good venue for family outing.
Consider the number of shops, restaurants, fitness centres, saunas, business and medical centres it has, it is just like a big shopping mall.
It is therefore not surprising that you will see a lot of families with children at Changi Airport on the weekends and public holidays. No, they are not travellers, but locals who go there for the air-conditioned environment, good food, shopping or simply walking around. It is also a favourite place for students, couples and retirees.
Our kids favourite place of the airport is the viewing gallery at Terminal 1. They love to watch the landing and taking off of planes and the ample space at the gallery for them to run around and play catching :)
Changi Airport Terminals
There are 4 Terminals at the Singapore Changi Airport. Terminal 1 and 2 have been in operation since 1981 and 1990. Budget Terminal commenced operation in March 2006 and the latest is the Terminal 3 which opened in January 2008.
